Providing non-medical services to people in need through interfaith volunteers.

Our Program:

Faith in Action is a network of congregations, organizations, and individuals working cooperatively to carry on a healing ministry by providing non-medical volunteer services to people in need including the elderly and individuals of any age with chronic health conditions and/or disabilities.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteer as little as one hour a month. Volunteer opportunities are matched according to the recipient’s needs and the volunteer’s availability and desired level of commitment. Volunteers are needed to provide companionship, outings, rides to medical appointments, run errands, light cleaning or yard work, reading, and other activities as needs arise.

Accomplishments:

Faith in Action has been serving residents in the Barnes County area since 1997. Services are provided without cost to the recipient and there are no financial eligibility requirements. As a non-profit program, we depend upon individuals, organizations, businesses, foundations, and fund raisers for financial support.

Friendly visiting, companionship (playing cards or other games and activities), outings, transportation, telephone reassurance, shopping, running errands, help with household tasks, yard work, help read and answer mail, bill paying, escorts to medical appointments, referrals.
